Ramadan Health Workshop (Sisters Only)

Come take part in our Ramadan poem writing competition and join us for a fun packed session to create Ramadan greeting cards, bookmarks, Qur’an quote jars and more!

Poem Competition
We are running a Ramadan poem competition, the competition is

  • Open to registered participants
  • There are no minimum or maximum words
  • Open to all ages 4-11

Deadline to submit entries is by end of day on 16 February 2024. Entries received after this date will not be entered. Please submit your entry with name and age to events@greenbankbristol.org

Winners will be announced and prizes will be awarded on the day of the event (25 February 2024). There are 3 prizes to be won.

Madrassah – December holidays

December half term holidays 

Madrassah will be closed from Wednesday 20 December 2023 to Tuesday 2 January 2024. 

Classes will resume as normal from Wednesday 3 January 2024. 

Outstanding Fees 

All parents are reminded to settle outstanding fees before the holidays. Fees should be paid at the beginning of the month and can be paid by debit card or direct debit through the parent portal, which can be accessed from www.greenbankbristol.org/education 

Those parents that have any queries with their outstanding fees should contact Sheikh Ilyas on 07709813909 and arrange to make payment as soon as possible.

✨ What will the children learn at the workshop of prophet Isa (as) ? ✨

✒️ The story of the family of prophet Isa (as) and his miraculous birth.

✒️ The nativity details as mentioned in the Quran.

✒️Miracles given by Allah’s permission to Isa (as) and His messengers and the wisdom behind this.

✒️What should Muslims do in Christmas.

✒️ Many faith ideas including; the names and attributes of Allah, the belief in Allah’s prophets and books and many others..

🎨 How will children learn these facts? ✂️🧶

📌 By interactive learning where ideas and verses will be explained in a simple and smooth way. The children will then complete some interesting activities to tease their brains and ensures their interaction and their understanding.🧩✂️🎨📌

Madrassah closed 06 Nov – 10 Nov 2023

Dear Parents / Guardians 

Madrassah closed  

Madrassah will be closed from Monday 6 November to Friday 10 November 2023 due to unforeseen staffing shortage.   

Classes will resume as normal from Monday 13 November 2023.  We apologise for any inconvenience caused. 

Madrassah security 

All parents are reminded to ensure their children are dropped off and picked up on time. The madrassah doors will be kept locked whilst classes are taking place. 

Parents are also reminded to ensure they park legally and considerately.

Advanced IT Training

Greenbank Masjid has partnered with experienced IT professionals to offer comprehensive training programs in cutting-edge IT specialisms. These programs will help you gain in-demand skills, be interview-ready, and confidently perform in your next job.

The training courses will cover:

  • Full Stack Web Development with React and Node.js: Gain skills in frontend development with React, backend development with Node.js, REST APIs, database integration, deployment, and more.
    • Prerequisites: Any programming language (e.g., Python, C#, Java, etc), IT Awareness
  • DevOps and Cloud Technologies: Master concepts like CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, containerization, Kubernetes, monitoring, and logging. Hands-on training included.
    • Prerequisites: IT Awareness
  • Agile Methodologies: Learn project management approaches like Scrum and Kanban to deliver projects efficiently.
    • Prerequisites: B Eng/BSC/Business Management
  • PLM and Data Management: Learn PLM software, data management, system administration, customization, integration, and more.
    • Prerequisites: B Eng/BSc (Mechanical), IT Awareness
  • VMWare Virtualization: Understand virtual infrastructure management and get hands-on training in VMWare vSphere.
    • Prerequisites: B Eng/BSC (Electronics/CS), IT Awareness

The training will be delivered via remote Saturday classes. Students will need to complete assignments and practical work independently during the week, requiring commitment.

Our experienced instructors have 15+ years of industry expertise in delivering impactful training programs. This training will prepare you for interviews and provide skills to kickstart your IT career.

When will the course start?

The training will be delivered by experts from the industry, to benefit from their expertise we want to make sure we have good class sizes before we start the course. Once we’ve met our minimum numbers we will then write out again to all candidates that have registered their interest.

Cost

We anticipate the cost of each course will be £20 per month. If you plan to take multiple courses, are facing financial constraints, or not in employment, we encourage you to reach to us for possible discounts. Our goal is to make these courses accessible to all who are passionate about advancing their IT skills.

Minimum requirements:

  • A-levels or college degree
  • Passion for technology
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • 8-10 hours weekly commitment

Program duration is 3-6 months.
