Girls’ Youth Club

We are excited to announce the start of our Girls’ Youth Club – a monthly program designed specifically for young Muslimah girls aged 13-17 in the Bristol community.

At this club, we aim to create a safe, supportive space where girls can connect with their faith, build strong friendships, and engage in activities tailored to their interests and needs. Each meeting will feature:

  • Discussions on relevant topics impacting young Muslim women
  • Educational sessions to foster personal and spiritual growth
  • Opportunities for community service and giving back
  • Fun games, activities, and social time to build relationships

Our goal is to empower these young girls, strengthen their Muslim identities, and provide mentorship during these formative years. We want them to develop confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging.

Meetings will be held on the first Saturday of every month from 3-5 PM at: Greenbank Masjid Castle Green Building, Greenbank Road, Bristol BS5 6HE.

Children’s Flu Clinic 2024

Protecting Children from Reception to Year 11

As the leaves begin to turn and the air grows crisp, we’re reminded that flu season is just around the corner. To help keep our community’s children healthy and resilient, we’re excited to announce our upcoming Children’s Flu Immunisation Clinic.

Event Details

  • Date: Saturday, 19 October 2024
  • Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Location: Greenbank Masjid
  • Eligibility: Children aged 2-16 years

Why Flu Immunisation Matters

Influenza isn’t just a common cold—it can lead to serious complications, especially in young children. By immunising your child, you’re not only protecting them but also:

  • Supporting their education by reducing sick days
  • Helping to prevent the spread of flu in our community
  • Easing the burden on our NHS during the busy winter months

What to Expect

Our clinic will be offering gelatine-free flu immunisations in the form of injections. These are safe, effective, and have been specially formulated to be suitable for children from diverse dietary backgrounds.

  1. Drop-in: Feel free to stop by during the clinic hours. No appointment necessary!
