Declaration and Agreement

I/we confirm that as the lead volunteer(s) for this event at Greenbank Masjid:

• I/we take full responsibility for ensuring the event is organised and delivered in line with the approved risk assessment.

• I/we will ensure all volunteers involved are aware of and follow the risk assessment requirements.

• I/we will take all reasonable steps to safeguard attendees, staff, and volunteers and ensure compliance with relevant UK health and safety legislation, including principles outlined under Martyn’s Law relating to venue security and public safety.

• I/we understand that Greenbank Masjid provides facilities and support but is not responsible for the running of the event or for incidents arising from failure to follow the risk assessment or from negligence by the event organisers.

• I/we accept that ultimate responsibility for the safe and lawful delivery of this event rests with the lead volunteer(s).

• I/we will ensure a responsible person is present throughout the event and contactable by Masjid management at all times.

• I/we will immediately inform Masjid management of any incidents, hazards, emergencies, or damage to equipment or premises.

• I/we acknowledge that Masjid management reserves the right to cancel or postpone the event at short notice if required for operational, safety, or safeguarding reasons, and I/we will cooperate in communicating this to attendees.

• I/we agree to complete the designated Post-Event Checklist immediately following the event.

• I/we agree to follow all instructions issued by Greenbank Masjid management before, during, and after the event, including those relating to access, security, and use of facilities.
